What to expect when designing and purchasing your dream countertops from Stone & Steel
Initial Consultation
We will introduce you to our showroom where you can browse through many selections of Quartz, Granite and Quartzite. No appointment needed. Our staff is ready to assist in Algona or Clear Lake.

Rough measurements
Estimating
After selecting your chosen materials, a quote will be sent to you the same day or the following.
Sign off + Order
We will make necessary revisions to the finalized quote for you to sign off on before material is ordered.

For stone purchases, Stone & Steel requires a 50% deposit to order.
In-Home Measure
We will conduct a field measure at your home with laser technology to confirm final measurements. If you are getting new cabinetry, this step is completed once cabinets are set.

Delivery & Drawings Completed
Once materials have arrived, final drawings are completed and fabrication begins.

Cut
Flow, our waterjet, is able to provide the most accurate and precise cuts to create your custom countertops. With an output pressure of 94,000 PSI (a fire hose is 390-1,200 PSI) this allows increased productivity and fast cutting with a high quality.
Polish
The Fastback II Edge Polisher will edge, polish and chamfer backsplash, vanities, and countertops in one single pass up to 65" per minute.
Sink Cut Out
The Brembana Micra 2.0 is the last step in the fabrication process. This CMS machine is used for sink cut-outs utilizing a 10 positions automatic tool holder.
Installation
Current lead times from template to installation is approximately 2-3 weeks. Lastly, our team will call you with a date and time to install your brand new countertops for you to enjoy for a lifetime!
