What to expect when designing and purchasing your dream countertops from Stone & Steel
Initial Consultation
Visit our showroom and browse through many selections of Quartz, Granite and Quartzite. No appointment needed. Our staff is ready to assist in Algona or Clear Lake.​

Rough measurements
Quoting
After selecting your chosen materials, a quote will be sent to you in a timely manner. Most are created within the same day or week of your visit!
Finalizing Your Project
Necessary revisions are made to the finalized quote for you to sign off on, then starts the templating process before material are ordered.

For stone purchases, Stone & Steel requires a 50% deposit to order. We accept all major credit cards (with a 3% processing fee) and checks hand delivered or mailed.
On-Site Measure & Templating
We will conduct a field measure at your home using the latest laser technology to confirm final measurements. If you are getting new cabinetry, this step is completed once cabinets are set. If you are only changing out countertops, you get to keep the old tops on during this step!​
Delivery & Drawings Completed
Once materials have arrived, final detailed drawings are completed and the fabrication process begins.

Waterjet Cutting
Our Flow Waterjet provides the most accurate and precise cuts to create your custom countertops with minimal waste. An output pressure of 94,000 PSI (a fire hose is 390-1,200 PSI) allows increased productivity and efficient results.
Paladin Polish and Finish
After cutting is complete, your countertops are then transferred to the Paladin CNC Stone Router. This powerful machine is a fusion of durability and advanced technology, delivering an unprecedented level of precision and efficiency to create those perfect polished edges.
Installation
Lastly, our team will schedule a date and time to install your brand new countertops for you to enjoy for a lifetime! We offer tear out and disposal of the existing surfaces as well.

Current lead times from template to installation is approximately 3 weeks.
